With so many reviews of different products, people write their reviews too soon after purchase, while still enamored with their new purchase.
We purchased our new Purple mattress on November 27, 2017 for $1,412.02. I was excited to try them out and see how the gel grid could take some pressure off of my shoulders and hips, (I'm a side sleeper) and also be comfortable for my wife, (she's a back sleeper).
For the first two years we were happy. Liked the mattress and the sleep and comfort we had on it. Very soon however we started to notice that we had distinct body impressions in the areas where we sleep. I am 6' 4" and weigh 240 pounds and my wife is 5' 9" and..... Yeah, you didn't think I would tell, did you? All that aside, we noticed early on that we were making body impressions. So we started to rotate the mattress and look for other ways to extend its life.
However, during the last six months we both started to have more and more significant back paint, specifically low back pain as we were no longer feeling the support we needed. This support was still in the center of the bed - there was a nice little ridge down the middle where both of us could sleep well, but two people certainly can't share that.
We consulted the warranty and the fine print says; "During normal, properly supported use, this warranty shall apply only if (i) the materials of construction develop a visible indentation in the mattress greater than one (1.00) inch compared to the surrounding mattress areas after full recovery from load, or (ii) if the materials of the mattress crack, split, or otherwise fail during normal use and normal handling which is in accordance with Purple’s care and use instructions for the mattress. This indentation must be of large enough width and length to be considered a body impression, and only applies to the mattress and not to settling of the cover fiber-fill materials. Generally, to measure the indentation the cover would be unzipped and removed, then a straight-edge would be set on the mattress of length to be beyond the indentation on both sides of the indentation, then a vertically placed ruler would show the depth of any indentation. The mattress must be flat on the floor to be measured (so that indentations in the mattress can be differentiated from problems with your foundation or frame). Purple expects you to not experience such indentations, but if you do, it is covered under the terms of this limited warranty."
This is the problem - you will likely NEVER see an indentation of 1" so as to activate the Warranty. That being said, we are at the point after only three years of use that we again need to purchase another mattress because the support we initially had has disappeared.
Even though we did enjoy our Purple mattress for a time, I would not recommend them to a friend and I wouldn't purchase from them again.
Not only do they have great products, but their customer service is awesome.

I bought a Queen size mattress for myself from Purple. I can't stress to tell you how great of a mattress they sell. After I come home from work my body soaks right into this mattress. It stay's cool, it maintains it's shape and most importantly your back feels like it has the support it needs. Now I will move onto the PILLOW. It's heavy, it is good but it could use little bit of more neck support. I know you can fold it up and all that but it needs more neck support. For example one of those pillows you put your head into and all the spots left between your neck and head are filled in. That's something I would like to see in this pillow as a improvement but other then that, everything from here has been great even the sleep maps. I got that too forgot to mention earlier. I do recommend Purple if you want to trey something completely new.
Not only do they have great products, but their customer service is awesome.
Great customer service and professional plus easy return, no question ask.

Purple makes the best mattress I've ever had. Their use of Affirm credit makes it affordable even if it's...not affordable, too. Love it.
This company sells their products as if "Canadian" supplier, yet, everything gets sent from the US. I ordered their $170 pillow. So within 4-5 days FedEx starts calling me looking for customs and duties. I contact Purple, they say "sorry shouldn't have happened" and customs & duties should have been charged to us. Two weeks later these clowns cannot get FedEx to reverse those charges and deliver the pillow. They then ask me to go and pick it up, as well provide FedEx with an invoice #? Sorry, what? They were fired and told to refund our money. Never trust a US company that states .ca but in reality drop ships from the states. They have 170 complaints on BBB...wow.
This is one company where I feel the hype is true! It is difficult to find quality pillows and cushions and beds, but purple is definitely in the top percentile. I will say that in my experience, I ordered both a purple hybrid pillow and a purple office seat cushion. The purple pillow did not work out for me because of some neck problems… But purple company honors their guarantee to get give you a full refund when you return the product in excellent condition. So even though the pillow did not work out for me I wouldn't hesitate to check out their other products which are well-made, and if you find them comfortable you wouldn't be risking much by at least trying it out.
This is our fourth purple bed and spent over $8000 with your company. Nothing against the CS rep, but your customer support policies and procedures are some of the worst and I have ever experienced. Product is top rate, prices are at a premium but customer support procedures are an epic fail for the company. I will not be buying or recommending purple products in the future. I may also be shipping back the Purple 4 as well.
Purple Platform Frame was bent on arrival. Although my name was on the billing and all shipping status e-mails were addressed to me they would not talk to me regarding the order and insisted that my wife give them written authorization before they would speak to me or lift a finder to assist a customer with an issue. This was a $4000 mattress and bed frame not a mortgage access to a bank account purple! At the huge margins they are making on this product they can afford to bend over backwards to take care of their customers! Amazon, Target and Walmart all have superior customer service to purple. Shame on you Purple!
Ive had my Purple 3 for over 2 years. Its still the best hands down things Ive ever bought for myself. I am a chronic pain sufferer, and this bed has been a tremendous help. I still look forward to getting into bed at night. Im a 35 F.
I bought a Purple 2 and really liked it. However, right after their 100 day trail period ended, the mattress began to deteriorate and now sags horribly. It is causing back and neck pain. I contacted the company many times, but all they agreed to do was replace it with another mattress, exactly the same. Why would I want another mattress that only lasts 3 months? I have continued to contact them and have even tried negotiations with the BBB, but they refuse to refund anything. It looks like I am stuck with a mattress that only lasted just over 3 months, and I paid almost 2 thousand dollars. Stay away from this company, their product is not made well enough to last and they only back it up just long enough for it to start to fall apart!
